On our journey to heal people, we saw our very close friend Carla Shook needed some assistance after her husband passed. Larry Shook was a Vietnam veteran and a mentor for young men. They were life partners who relied on each other every day, so when he passed we wanted to make sure that Carla knew that she could rely on us for support. We were able to provide a card, gifts, and therapeutic tools. To give her company, we take her for walks and special night outs. This is something we are still doing every year and continue checking up on her regularly.
