A member of our community in Colombia reached out to us after her home had been broken into, luckily it had happened while she and her family were not home, however, they were left only with the clothes they had on that day. She was not able to press charges for fear of her own safety.The community around them really stepped up and donated clothes and sports gear and at Sacred Hut we started running a new campaign in her honor as she had mentioned her wishes to move out of the already vulnerable neighborhood and start over someplace else. With the money gathered and taking advantage of the exchange rate we were able to give her enough to move out and buy kitchen supplies.
